Yeah! Finished a test today! Not sure whether is the test difficult or not... i wasnt sure of my answers. But when i came out to check with my friends, they said that my answers are right (and theirs wrong....).
But tts not the happy part... the happy part is tt i completed the skeleton of the E-prime program for my thesis experiment! Designing it from scratch and troubleshooting took me less than 4 hours in total; i tookonly 30 mins to troubleshoot today. YAY!
For those who dunno, E-prime is a program tt helps us to design our own experiment. It is supposed to be idiot proof; but in reality, it is not.
Last year for cog lab, i was the one who did the E-prime program. And i came down to school everyday in the morning to design and troubleshoot the program. It gets irritating when i only have 8-9 in the morning to use the lab; other times, the labs were used for lessons.
I guess the experience last year helped this time. Especially since i struggled thru the program, ALONE. Didnt get much help from the 3 gals in my grp..... in actual fact, i was the one who came up with the idea, did the program, run the analysis...... if not for the fact tt all of us got to write a report, i think i would be doing the whole report myself too....
And irritatingly, one of the gal got a higher grade than me for tt module.... when she is the one who kept asking me all the questions! GRRRR....
Well, with hindsight, i guess doing it all alone helped me for my thesis this time....
Horror stories
Happened to meet a friend by chance, and we both sat down to chit chat. The topic veered towards his gf, and he recounted his stories to me.
What horror!
My god, its during times like this, tt my appreciation for Ruldoph multiply by 10 times (when it was already high to begin with).
And i do show my appreciation for Ruldoph one ok? (so her girl friends, dun need to shoot me, i know what to do =P)
Since the horror stories i heard concern mostly females, i asked Ruldoph for male horror versions. I think i should list down some of the stories i heard.
Horrors of males (gf)
E.g.s:-
1) Need to be fetched everywhere, irregardless of where the location of Guy, Girl, and destination. If male don't have car? Take taxi lah!
I.e. The girl is in science, the guy in arts, girl finish lesson, don't want to take shuttle bus, ask guy to drive to science within 5 mins
I.e.2 Girl live in Jurong, Guy live near Orchard, Guy must take taxi to fetch girl at Jurong to go down to their dating place.... (you guess it), which is at Orchard!
2) All expenses paid by guy. And i mean ALL expenses paid by guy. Meals, taxi fare, movie tickets, drinks, and even the Girl shopping items! And this is irregardless of whether the Guy is working or studying. Even if Guy bank account is single digit, Guy still expected to pay for all!
I.e. Girl picked up a designer label and put on the most innocent tone, "This one, you pay hor? Ok?". How can Guy say no? If he has the brains and guts to say no, prepare to suffer the wrath of Girl!
I.e. 2 Girl called up Guy, and told him that she has bought a decoration item at a
discounted price of 300 dollars. And tt she bought it for the Guy, and Guy supposed to pay. And being the
responsible gf that she is, she duly retained the receipt as proof of purchase.
3) Girl needs Guy full attention! Irregardless of whether Guy is studying for exam, working part time, spending time with friends, Guy expected to meet all demands of Girl, as and when she needs it.
I.e. Girl is hungry at night. Called Guy up to tell him that she is hungry. Expect Guy to buy supper for her. (Guy at west in Spore, Girl at east in Spore). Girl don't feel "loved" if Guy don't do so. No car, cant drive? Take taxi lah!
I.e.2 Guy feeling tired after booking out from camp. Girl expect Guy to smile, crack jokes, entertain her, be romantic, keep in touch with latest trend, send her home, bring her for shopping, etc etc.....
Horror of females (gf)
1) Guy is possessive freak! Girl not ALLOWED to talk to any guy at all. No face to face conversation, no chatting on phone, no sms allowed.
I.e. Guy checked thru phone list of Girl and delete all males no. Guy screen calls of Girl. Hmm, so Guy cant talk to other girls too? Dont be silly, of course Guy can talk to other girls! Its only Girl who cant talk to other guys
2) Guy has violent nature! Hit Girl whenever he is in a bad mood.
I.e. Girl just got engaged with Guy. During an argument, Guy slapped Girl so hard tt she fell to the ground.
4) Guy has multiple gfs at same time. Of course, he proclaim to each of them, that he only love 1 (whichever girl he's talking to at tt time).
I.e. So far, havent heard of any from my friends..... but i gather these guys are definitely out there.

And morale for all these stories? Well, to me, it means tt when u looking for a partner, looks/ wealth doesnt matter. Most of the protagonist i mentioned above do look pretty/handsome, but their character really leaves much to desire.
Character compatibility is most impt. And similar expectations. If not, it would be most draining on both parties to try to meet up to each other expectations.
MY ADVICE TO WHOEVER HAS A HORROR BF/GF....THINK ABOUT YOUR R/S AGAIN. IS IT WORTH YOUR MONEY, EFFORT AND EMOTIONS CLINGING ON TO SOMEONE LIKE THAT?

Additional Disclaimer: This is not to say that ppl should not get into a r/s. No, one could have a fulfiling and enriching r/s with his/her partner. The couple could grow together in a r/s, and share their happiness and sorrow. The main pt is to find someone who you can stay with for a long, long time....
